You can download LAME encoder (free) and then add the encoder as an output format in Sonar. See the forums for How To

I love Cakewalk, and have used it in some form or another since I found Pro Audio 9. I have been using Sonar LE for a couple of years now, and apparently my MP3 encoder has expired. Its a hassle, but buying an encoder would be a rip-off. Luckily, iTunes is free and easily converts .wav files to MP3. Thanks anyways, and as soon as I can afford a new copy, Im buying one.

FYI-i tried the free encoder, and found that it slightly alters the tempo, so i had to purchase the cakewalk encoder
