When will my order ship?


Our goal is to ship your order as quickly as possible, subject to availability, receipt of payment, and credit authorization. In general, in-stock items ordered on the Cakewalk USD store ship within two business days. But most orders ship much more quickly.

Download items are usually available from a link on the store checkout receipt page seen immediately upon order completion. Serial numbers and other authorization information is emailed to the address associated with your eStore account within a few minutes.


What shipping methods do you offer? How much does shipping cost?


All Cakewalk USD eStore orders shipped within the continental US are sent via FedEx 2Day service. A flat fee of $8.95 applies to these orders. Delivery calculation starts on the first business day after the order is placed (business days are Monday through Friday, not including holidays). A $35 fee applies to all shipments sent outside the continental US. In most cases, international shipments are sent via DHL or their local affiliate.


Can I cancel or change an order once it's been placed?


Orders placed via this eStore are processed very quickly. In many cases within one hour, so it's usually NOT possible to cancel or modify an order after it's been submitted.


How can I contact Cakewalk?


Can I return a product I purchased from Cakewalk?


Yes you can return some products under the following conditions:


Cakewalk will only accept returns of unopened products that were ordered directly from us through our online store or Customer Service department.


If you purchased your product from another dealer or retailer, you must return the product to that location according to its business policies.


Important Note: We will not accept returns of opened or downloadable software products.


How do I return a product?


Do not open the software. Contact Customer Service by phone or email before shipping anything back to us.


We will issue you a return authorization number, and provide you with any other information required to process your return.


Software must be returned unopened. Shipping charges incurred to ship the original order to you will not be refunded.

You are responsible for shipping charges to return the product to us.


Important Note: We will not accept returns of opened or downloadable software products.


Can I exchange a defective product?


We will replace defective products, regardless of where it was purchased.


If you believe you received a defective product, you must contact our Technical Support department within 30 days of purchase. Technical support is only available to registered users so please register your product before you call.


If the Technical Support Representative determines your product is defective, we will refer you to a Customer Service Representative who will coordinate the replacement of your product.


Once you return the defective product as per our return policies, we will ship a replacement product to you at no additional shipping charge. The original shipping charges incurred during shipment of defective products ordered directly from us are not refundable.
